No Pressure Writing Practices for Optimal Health

Since August 2020, it’s been an honor to facilitate online writing workshops with non-profits like Building Roots Toronto, Skills for Change, Hello Bloomers and Rituals for Recovery and blocked individuals who struggle with memoir writing or processing difficult, often, long buried emotions. Participants have learned that writing doesn’t have to be scary or “too revealing.” You are in the driver seat. You decide what to express. A safe and trusted experience is the goal.

No writing experience is necessary.
Just be open to a transformative writing practice. ?

Each session begins with a “check-in.”

We then review the “rules” of writing– keep your hand moving, don’t censor, don’t judge, don’t think, sharing is optional. You can also doodle, draw or paint.

We then write in response to prompts, for 7 to 10 minutes, and open up to discussion.
